This isn't a compromise—it's a coffee we reach for morning, noon, and night. Sourced from Colombia and processed using the innovative sugarcane method, it retains the full character and sweetness of the origin while removing 97–99% of the caffeine.

Tasting Notes

Expect layers of cocoa and melon sweetness upfront, balanced by a bright citrus acidity that keeps each sip lively. The body is round and satisfying without being heavy, and the finish is clean with lingering chocolate notes. It's one of the most balanced decaf profiles we've encountered—sweet, complex, and free of the flatness that sometimes plagues decaffeinated coffees.

About the Sugarcane Process

The sugarcane decaffeination method uses ethyl acetate (E.A.) derived from sugarcane molasses. Green coffee is soaked in an E.A. solution, which bonds to the chlorogenic acid salts in the beans and gently extracts the caffeine. The coffee is then steamed at low pressure to remove all E.A. compounds, leaving behind beans with maximum flavor integrity and minimal caffeine content (0.01–0.03%). Unlike other methods, sugarcane processing preserves the coffee's natural sweetness and complexity remarkably well.

Brew Methods

This Colombia shines across brewing methods. As espresso, it pulls sweet and balanced with thick crema and chocolatey depth. For pour over or drip, dial in a medium grind to highlight the melon and citrus brightness. French press brings out the body and cocoa richness. It's forgiving and delicious no matter how you brew it—rare for a decaf.
